Also, do not forget to discover the beautiful surroundings during your vacation. The province of Friesland is very versatile and has much to offer for a successful stay.  You will, of course, experience the real Christmas feeling at a Christmas market. Our tip: visit the Christmas market at Blokhuispoort in Leeuwarden, which is located 40 kilometers from our vacation park. The many stand holders offer all kinds of goods; who knows, you might even score a nice Christmas gift for under the tree!  Do you prefer to stay near the campsite? Then take a nice hike or get on a bicycle and discover the beautiful Workum surroundings.  Our vacation park is located in beautiful Workum; one of the famous eleven cities of Friesland. Workum has a historic center with dozens of national monuments, such as the Grote or Sint-Gertrudiskerk, the gable roofs, and stepped gables.
